During this Macro Writing: Creating Global Programs That Can Be Accessed from Anywhere Brian demonstrated and educated participants on the best practices for developing global macros that make key data accessible to all MEDITECH applications. During the webcast, attendees learned to create utility macros that access common patient information such as NUR Documentation, LAB Results, PHA Orders, RAD/ITS Exams, and OE Orders. Using NPR Report Macros with Rules Brian Schmit demonstrated the fundamentals of creating NPR macros in rules for displaying data from multiple applications. He also showed how to create a macro to show a pop-up window! webcast, the presenter, Dr. Cheryl Parker of Motion Computing, reviewed the concepts of wireless mobile computing solutions in context of current technologies. She also covered results of clinical usability studies. Unleash the Hidden Power of Report Writer Presenters Michael Girard and Dave McNally, both past MEDITECH employees, and current senior programmers for Southcoast Hospitals in New Bedford, Massachusetts introduced methods to tap into the hidden potential of Report Writer and create slick, full color reports. Attendees learned how to create eye-stunning reports or streamline direct output to active PC documents. Participants also gained access to a library of free reports, engines, functions, manuals, and documentation. SPRING 2009 MUSE INTERNATIONAL Square Peg in a Round Hole Using NPR Report Writer in Unusual Ways During this webcast, participants learned to create macros to use multiple indexes, create and send files via FTP, upload text files, print calendar formats, and more. Using Graphs in NPR Reports This webcast helped attendees learn the fundamentals of creating NPR reports with macros to create graphs of various styles. Effective Use of Macros, Fragments, and Programs Participants in the webcast learned about the use of fragments, macros, and program calls within NPR reports, and when and how they should be used effectively.
